University of Mount Union students will showcase their musical talents during the Spring Vocal Showcase on Sunday March 31 at 3 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall.

The University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble recently performed "Disney Goes to the Movies." The annual winter pops concert was conducted by Jack Taylor, University professor of music.

The dean's list for the fall 2018 semester at the University of Findlay has been announced.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

The University of Mount Union Department of Theatre will present the musical "Anything Goes" February 28 and March 1-2 at 7:30 p.m. and March 3 at 2 p.m. The production will take place in the Brush Performance Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

"Christmas on the Silver Screen" was the theme for the University of Findlay Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble's recent Christmas concert. The performance featured music from several beloved holiday films, such as "White Christmas," "Polar Express" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." The annual concert is conducted by Jack Taylor, professor of music.

Fourteen Baldwin Wallace University football student-athletes have been named to the 2018 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

During the weekend of November 15-18, the University of Mount Union Department of Theatre will present "All My Sons" by Arthur Miller. Set after World War II, "All My Sons" features the drama and tragedy of a family overturned by the war, as well as an impeding financial crisis. After a desperate climb to wealth, the family is sent down a tumbling hill full of lies, greed, and loss.

More than 600 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. Over 400 named scholarships provide in excess of $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.

Nearly 600 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall earned $7.7 million in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW grants a wide range of scholarships to current students each year. Including merit and need-based scholarships, BW students received over $48 million in financial support from the University for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Miami University welcomes students to begin their college career in Fall 2018

On Saturday August 18th, 2018 74 upper class students led over 250 first-year UVM students as they began their University of Vermont experience through TREK, a unique, 7-day first year enrichment program sponsored by UVM's Department of Student Life. For 39 years, UVM's TREK program has sent new students all over the state of Vermont to explore the region's wilderness, develop leadership skills, and work on community service projects. TREK is one of the biggest and most diverse new-student, collegiate, community building programs in the northeast region. Known as TREK leaders, these students provided and maintained a safe, healthy and supportive group atmosphere for their student participants while exploring the expansive outdoor environments of northern Vermont and it's neighboring states through both Wilderness and Service TREK programs.

Ohio Wesleyan University has selected 16 students as 2018-2019 Education Fellows. The four-year fellowships are awarded each fall by Ohio Wesleyan's Department of Education to first-year students with a high potential for success at the university and a stated interest in teaching at the pre-school, elementary, middle or high school level.
